Defender

An editorial publication for Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems business unit, covering topics from national security to weather forecasting.

I was tasked with its redesign and happily obsessed over every detail. From the masthead and page layouts to illustration, photography selection, and image retouching, I shaped nearly every visual aspect of the publication.

Working in defense means great photography isn’t always an option. Security restrictions, remote locations, and systems that can’t be photographed make illustration and creative image use essential parts of the storytelling.
